Activities on the construction site of our insects hotel have been pauzed during a few days as my holiday period is over, and the evening time is largely dedicated to the regular garden activities such as mowing the lawn and mercilessly killing the bad weeds.
This evening however we had some spare time and continued erecting the guest house for our flying friends, expected in the Spring of 2014. It has come to a point now, where we need use our imagination for the interior and exterior decoration. As for the latter, what could better illustrate its rural and Flemish location than the typical cobbles stones? So, we built a small wall with these solid rock clasts at the bottom of the hotel, and dropped some fertile soil in it to lodge some flowers.
And this is the result so far:
